Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Game Changer,’ directed by Shankar, has faced a huge downturn at the box office, as its earnings continue to decline with each passing day. Released on January 10, 2025, the film initially opened strong but has struggled to maintain momentum, leading to disappointing daily collections.
According to trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Game Changer’ earned only around Rs 6 lakhs on its twenty-third day in India across all languages. The film’s total earnings now stand at approximately Rs 130.74 crores after three weeks. The collection trend has shown a consistent downward trajectory, with the film earning Rs 1.82 crores in its third week alone.
The decline in box office performance has sparked discussions among industry insiders and fans alike. The film had an impressive opening day, earning Rs 51 crores, but subsequent days saw sharp drops in revenue. For instance, it collected just Rs 6 lakhs on both Day 22 and Day 23.
In response to the film’s performance, producer Dil Raju recently defended ‘Game Changer.’. During a recent press meet, he said, “Even when distributors face losses, the film industry projects films as hits without breaking even. But if you ask area-wise, you realize the losses. The culture has changed now. We see 90% of failures in this industry, but this film is different.”

Initially, producers claimed a staggering worldwide gross of ₹186 crores for the opening day, which led to debates about the accuracy of box office reporting in the industry.
Despite these challenges, audience reactions to Ram Charan’s performance have been largely positive. Critics have praised his dual role as H. Ram Nandan and his father, Appanna. Kiara Advani also received commendations for her role as Deepika, Ram Nandan’s wife.
The film also featured Murali Sharma, Brahmanandam, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, and SJ Surya in key roles.
