Three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have etched their legacy into the cosmos by officially registering three stars around the Gemini constellation, each representing their title triumphs in 2012, 2014, and 2024.
The celestial tribute symbolises KKR’s championship victories, with the stars named after the franchise’s iconic motto – Korbo (Play), Lorbo (Fight), and Jeetbo (Win).

The dates of each title triumph – May 27, 2012, June 1, 2014, and May 26, 2024 – have been used to register the stars, making the gesture a unique and eternal celebration of their success.
Fans can view the stars on a clear night using their official coordinates or by scanning a dedicated QR code. The announcement was made by KKR’s Chief Marketing Officer Binda Dey through an official statement and social media post.
“All three stars have been picked from around the Gemini constellation, since all three dates fall under the Gemini Zodiac,” Dey stated. “The third star on top of our crest is a great feeling this year. To add to the legacy, KKR has taken its heritage beyond the pitch and into the cosmos — quite literally. ‘Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo’ is now not just our motto – it’s written in the stars.”
KKR unveil new jersey for IPL 2025
Alongside the celestial tribute, KKR also unveiled their new-look jersey for the upcoming 18th edition of the IPL. The jersey launch campaign revolved around the team’s obsession with the number three, culminating in the depiction of three stars woven into the jersey fabric.
Cricketers Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Ramandeep Singh, Manish Pandey, Vaibhav Arora, Anukul Roy, Mayank Markande, and Luvnith Sisodia featured in the campaign video, sporting the fresh kit.

The jersey proudly displays the third star on top of the team crest, while a special golden IPL champions badge adorns the sleeve, introduced by the tournament to honour the defending champions.
KKR will begin their IPL 2025 campaign on March 22, facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens, as they aim to add a fourth star to their cosmic collection.
